साल के पहले 6 महीने चीनी कंपनियों का दबदबा रहा, फिर विरोध ने सैमसंग को उठाया; लेकिन 5 साल से शाओमी अव्वल

कोविड-19 महामारी की वजह से ये साल देश की ज्यादातर इंडस्ट्रीज के लिए किसी बुरे सपने की तरह रहा है। स्मार्टफोन मार्केट के लिए भी साल उतार-चढ़ाव भरा रहा है। इस साल चीनी कंपनियों के विरोध का असर भी स्मार्टफोन इंडस्ट्री पर हुआ है। हालांकि, पिछले दो महीने के आंकड़ों कुछ राहत देने वाले हैं। उम्मीद है साल के खत्म होते-होते सब कुछ फिर से पटरी पर आ जाएगा।

कोरोनावायरस के चीन से आने की अफवाह और चीनी सैनिकों द्वारा हमारे जवानों को बॉर्डर पर मारने के बीच भी देश में चीनी कंपनियों का दबदबा रहा है। शाओमी, रियलमी, वीवो और ओप्पो जैसी कंपनियों ने पूरे साल टॉप-5 में अपनी जगह रिजर्व रखी। इस बीच थोड़ा सा फायदा सैमसंग को जरूर हुआ।

साल के तीसरे क्वार्टर (जुलाई से सितंबर) के दौरान सैमसंग स्मार्टफोन शिपमेंट मार्केट शेयर में पहले नंबर पहुंचने में कामयाब हो गई। हालांकि, पहले क्वार्टर (जनवरी से मार्च) और दूसरे क्वार्टर (अप्रैल से जून) के दौरान चीनी कंपनी शाओमी का दबदबा देखने को मिला था। उसके मार्केट शेयर में लगातार गिरावट देखने को मिली। इसके बाद भी वो दूसरे नंबर पर बनी रही। लिस्ट में वीवो, रियलमी और ओप्पो भी जमी रहीं।

भारत में स्मार्टफोन शिपमेंट मार्केट शेयर के प्रतिशत की बात करें तब ये पता चलता है कि शाओमी का ग्राफ 2019 की तुलना में लगातार बढ़ा है। 2019 के पहले क्वार्टर में कंपनी का शेयर 29% था, जो 2020 के पहले क्वार्टर में बढ़कर 30% हो गया। ठीक इसी तरह, दूसरे क्वार्टर में भी कंपनी के शेयर में 1% की बढ़ोतरी देखने को मिली। हालांकि, तीसरे क्वार्टर में 3% की गिरावट आ गई।

इसी तरह वीवो, ओप्पो और रियलमी के स्मार्टफोन शिपमेंट मार्केट शेयर में भी 2019 के पहले और दूसरे क्वार्टर की तुलना में 2020 के पहले और दूसरे क्वार्टर में बढ़त देखने को मिली है। तीसरे क्वार्टर में जरूर ये आंकड़े जरूर फिसले हैं। हालांकि, ओप्पो के मार्केट शेयर में 2% की बढ़त रही। सैमसंग के आंकड़े 2019 की तुलना में 2020 के पहले क्वार्टर में खराब रहे थे, वे इस साल के दूसरे और तीसरे क्वार्टर में बेहतर हो गए।

नोट: 2016 तक भारतीय स्मार्टफोन शिपमेंट मार्केट में माइक्रोमैक्स और लेनोवो का दबदबा था। 2017 के बाद इनकी जगह रियलमी ने ले ली। हालांकि, माइक्रोमैक्स ने एक बार इन (in) सीरीज के साथ वापसी की है। 2020 के आंकड़े पहले तीन क्वार्टर के ही हैं।

फेस्टिव सीजन का फायदा मिला

  • भारत की स्मार्टफोन मार्केट को फेस्टिव सीजन का बड़ा फायदा मिला है। खासकर कोविड के चलते ऑनलाइन रिटेलर्स ने धमाकेदार ग्रोथ दर्ज की।
  • ऑनलाइन रिटेलर्स के शेयर इस दौरान 48% की ग्रोथ के साथ ऑल टाइम हाई पर पहुंच गए। साल-दर-साल के आधार पर 24% की ग्रोथ रही। ग्राहकों को ऑनलाइन बैंक ऑफर्स के साथ दूसरे डिस्काउंट भी मिले।
  • ऑफलाइन चैनलों ने साल की पहली छमाही के बाद 11% की मीडियम ग्रोथ दर्ज की। नए लॉन्च से ऑफलाइन चैनलों में आपूर्ति की भारी कमी थी।
  • ओरिजनल इक्युपमेंट मैन्युफैक्चरर्स (OEMs) ने कम कीमत वाले स्मार्टफोन लॉन्च किए। उन्होंने क्वाड-कैमरा, हाई मेगापिक्सेल काउंट्स (48 एमपी और अधिक), अधिक स्टोरेज (64 जीबी और अधिक), बड़ी बैटरी (5000mAh) वाले फोन ज्यादा लॉन्च किए।
